Pharmacy Tools of the Trade: Ashland Drug keeps reminders of the past:

What caught my eye (after 20 years of coming to) Ashland Drug, are the gold trimmed white jars on the right end of the photo. I have one crumbling jar like this left from a collection of three I inherited. I never knew what they were until today! Inside the pharmacist's room, on a high shelf, sits a modest collection of gifted and collected vintage pharmacy tools including storage jars, mortar and pestles, dark brown bottles for liquids, glass huge apothecary jars with glass stoppers and other chemist-wizardly items.
